TV’s hit couple Sooraj and Sandhya is in Ajmer to shoot some outdoor portions of the show Diya Aur Baati Hum. However, the show’s Ajmer shoot that starts from Wednesday has come to a temporary halt due to fan frenzy.
Diya Aur Baati Hum has grown by leaps and bounds over the last year, and continues to top the TRP charts. Not only is the lead pair of the serial Anas Rashid and Deepika Singh popular among the fans, but also the ‘saas’, Bhabho, played by Neelu Waghela. So little wonder that a horde of fans gathered to see the shoot of the show hours before it actually started in Ajmer, claim sources.
We hear that the work came to a standstill just after a bit of shooting. The cast and crew are supposed to move back to Mumbai by January 11, and according to the insiders they were not able to shoot any major chunk since Wednesday morning.
Deepika Singh, who plays Sandhya, talks about the incident with a daily. “Actually we all are aware about our popularity in these states so we are not surprised with the over flooding fans but on the same time we are overwhelmed with the love and craze for us,” Deepika is quoted as saying.
Deepika is also clueless about her return to Mumbai as the show’s progress depends on the shoot.
As for now, the serial is going through an interesting turn. Thankfully, Sandhya and Sooraj’s romance is back on track. In recent episodes, Mohit’s girlfriend has also been revealed, while Meena still conspires against Sandhya.
