STAR Plus characters celebrate sibling bonds (IPKKND)
With a smirk, Arnav from Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon said, "Di is the most important person in my life. No one can ever replace her. I wish that she gives her life a fresh start. I want to always see her happy. On this Raksha Bandhan I promise her that I would always be there to take care of her and protect her from all the evils."

Arnav takes over a builder's company in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon!
While Khushi (Sanaya Irani) is trying hard to stay away from Arnav (Barun Sobti) in Star Plus’ Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Arnav on the other end is not leaving a single chance of winning her back.
Either by hook or crook, all Arnav wants is Khushi to come back to him. Looks like his love surely follows the adage, everything is fair in love and war. Last we saw how he had made up a 24 hours deal with Khushi in return of paying the rent of buaji’s house. Well, if you all were wondering as to what he will do next once the time line gets over then you will have your answers here.
Buzz states that as the 24 hours will get over, Arnav will churn out a new way of compelling Khushi. He will take over the builder’s company owning the right to the houses built in the locality where Khushi’s family resides. He will hike the rent charges and this will irk Khushi a lot, furthermore she will be left fuming when the builder will offer her to stay with him in return of getting the rent reduced.
Unbeknownst to the fact that it’s her Arnav who is the mastermind behind, she will barge into the builder’s office only to see a smirking Arnav as the owner of the company. He will again compel her to return back but Khushi will turn down the offer. Meanwhile, you will also get to see how one of the office employees gets beaten up by Arnav as he calls Khushi an item.
Though Khushi will remain adamant for some time but will have to give up in the end. And yeah, coming Rakshabandhan, you will also get to see Arnav and Khushi planning a surprise to cheer Anjali (Daljeet Bhanot) up.

Rakshabandhan for Anjali in IPKKND
The festival of Rakshabandhan has always been special for Arnav (Barun Sobti) and Anjali (Daljeet Kaur Bhanot) in 4 Lions Films and IMRC Entertainment’s Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon on Star Plus.
Though the mood in the Raizada house is rather dull this time, Arnav with the help of Khushi (Sanaya Irani) will join together to bring happiness in the life of Anjali who has gotten depressed.
We hear that Arnav will get a lot of gifts for Anjali and has an exciting plan up his sleeve to make Anjali smile on the day. Anjali will go out of the house and will not be around for much of the day. However, when she gets back Arnav and Khushi see to it that they keep her happy. Anjali we hear will forget her sorrow and share the happy moment with her brother and family.
When contacted, Daljit Kaur Bhanot aka Anjali says, “Yes, I want Anjali to smile at least on the Rakshabandhan day. The festival means a lot for Anjali and I have heard that like last year, this year’s Rakshabandhan will also be special. We are shooting the sequence from today."
We also hear that Shyam’s (Abhaas Mehta) comeback is also round the corner..
For the moment, three cheers to Arnav and Khushi for making the day special for Anjali.

How to apply for an acting job…
- Perfect example of what NOT to do.
Ever since we made the email id for casting, public, we have been flooded with emails and pictures. For the record, it is casting@4lionsfilms.com. The absolutely crazy number emails have left us in a tizzy making us wonder whether it was a lapse in creating and giving out the email id? Who does that? Anyway, without getting into the details about the kind of mails that we have been getting, we would like to bring some order to the chaos. We understand that all those who want to act do not have pictures clicked by professionals, but still if we follow the simple guidelines posted below, it will help us deal with your mails better and your chances of getting rejected will be lesser.
GUIDELINES:
- The pictures should be between 800 and 1200 pixels wide.
- The accompanying mail should have between three and seven pictures, though you may send as many as ten, if that pleases you!
- The total size of all the attachments should not be more than 10MB.
- The subject line of the mail should ideally state your sex and age. For example: “Male, 32 years, seeking character role.” ”Please sir give me just one chance” is not the ideal subject line for this kind of mail.
- You should be alone in the picture. All by yourself! While we love dogs, babies and in rare cases, stuffed toys… For this particular picture(s), please leave them out! While we understand that you looked smashing at this cousin’s wedding and you think this is your “bestest” picture – the same applies to your cousin as well.
- You facing forwards, looking straight towards the camera. Your friends might have told you that you resemble Shahrukh Khan or Katrina Kaif when viewed from the side or a certain angle – but we need to see how you look straight on! No really, no kidding… We really do!
- Your eyes open and clearly visible with no sunglasses or heavily tinted glasses, and no hair across your eyes. Stylish as it might look we do want to see what those eyes look like and what beautiful colour they are!
- If you prefer or wear glasses, please make sure there is no reflection or glare on your glasses, and the frames should not cover your eyes. Although, honestly speaking, you may find it easier to just remove your glasses!
- We should see your full head, without any head covering, unless it is worn for religious beliefs or medical reasons. The right to make you look ridiculous rests completely with us. So please throw away that “FRIENDS” cap that you have saved from 1989. It does not make you look like Salman Khan. The same applies to all cowboy hats, baseball caps and that wonderful straw hat from that wonderful vacation.
- Nothing should be covering your face. Please make sure nothing covers the outline of your eyes, nose or mouth. While we do plan to make some shows based on dacoits, bandits and the likes sometime in the future – please let us decide how to cover your face and when.
The body of the mail should have the following:
- Your name – rockstar89 doesn’t tell us your real name.
- Your address – geographical location is very important. We want to know whether you can come for an audition tomorrow or next month, after getting a visa.
- Your phone number – please don’t make us send you another email asking you for a number.
- Acting course undertaken, if any.
- Previous work experience, if any. If not, please state that you are a newcomer.
- Video links, if any
- Website, if any.

"I will change the way he kills" - Abhaas Mehta
It was difficult to accept the kind of reward at public places in the beginning, but I understand it's a part of the role. Also, whenver I was dressed up as Abhaas people would think its Shyaam, but it just shows that my effort in the role worked out.
If Abhaas Mehta got to change one thing about Shyam what would it be?Let's see, well I think the way he plans to kill people, like with perfumes etc., just finish the job. Haha.
What were your 3 most favorite or memorable (whichever you prefer) scenes to shoot from IPKKND?
The first one, in cronological order, the scene where Shashi is getting a heart attack and Shyaam being cold and negative. Second must be the Shyam-Khushi terrace scene, and third and last, my most memorable scene is the climax where Shyaam is finally exposed. It was so exhausting to shoot the scene, as it lasted for 3 days and I had to think so much over how to do the scene, how to say the words and show expressions, it was the hardest scene of all time.
What other roles would you like to pursue in the future?
I don't know, can't answer it, whatever good or bad. I will do roles which excite me, and make me believe at first that I won't be able to do it, just like the role of Shyaam.
Do you miss Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon cast?
Absolutely, I miss them a lot, but I am in touch with them daily, don't get to meet them regularly like earlier, but we still get together, not only the cast, but also with the crew and director. I even talk to my writer of the show every day, as he is a close friend.
Given a choice what would you choose, be a romantic hero or a villain with a substance?
It depends, as a romantic hero himself has a lot of substance. Arnav is a romantic hero, but he has more to the role. Also, you need to know the background story. The kind of guy I am, I don't think I will be accepted as a romantic hero aka chocolate boy, so it will be villain right now.
Do you have any Phobias?
I do, my biggest phobia is not being able to do what I love most, which is acting; I see it as my inspiration to work harder. Apart from that, I am scared of heights.
Which is your favorite holiday destination?
I don't know, I have been to Bangkok twice and I love the hills and wild forest there.
How does it feel to be playing the most hated character on the show?
To get such feelings from people, whether it is hatred or love, as both are most extreme emotions, it shows you have achieved making the audience love or hate your character.
Who is your favorite co-actor till date and why?
On-screen it will be Anjali aka Daljeet Bhanot and Khushi aka Sanaya Irani, behind the camera it's Akshay Dogra; I also look upto him.
What made you take up the role of Shyam? Did you think it would be this big of a hit?
No, as I mentioned earlier, I didn't even think about it, I had no idea. First I thought I won't be able to do it, which made me take up the role.

“People take my negative character too seriously,” Says Abbhas Mehta
But the show's success is incomplete without the mention of Abbhas Mehta, who plays the negative character of Shyam.
Abbhas, who plays the baddie on the show, recently faced the brunt of his on screen act.
"People, often come up to me and stare blankly, after a minute of silence they will shout at me because of my character portrayed negatively. Recently, as Arnav (Barun Sobti) was kidnapped, I have heard such negative statements that I actually ponder over my role."
When asked about people's reaction to his character, Abbhas says, "Initially I used to get worried but then I slowly realized that I am doing absolute justice to my role and the comments I get are positive for my character Shyam. I now walk with great pride and I am happy to be part of this popular show."
Abbhas has played negative roles in the past but his current role has made him well known.
With many more bitter-sweet comments that will come his way, we wish Abbas the very best!

Arnav and Khushi's re-marriage will take place only after Shyam's truth comes out in front of Anjali. After that everyone will come to know about Arnav and Khushi's contract marriage as Shyam will spill all the beans. Although Arshi would have fallen in love but they would have to seperate coz their families will think that Khushi has undergone a lot of pain and she should be free now. But the family will realise they love each other and then their families will create such situations that they have to confess their love for each other. Then the re-marriage will take place. After that a new track will start. So dere's a lot of time now. For now enjoy the starry nights. Don't ask me who I am
