LONDON (PTI) :Ek Hazaaron Main Meri Behna Hai Fame Kushal Tandon was labelled as the sixth most sexiest Asian men within the World by a London based weekly on Thursday. The results were published following a worldwide poll in which people from different continents including Asia, Europe, Africa and South America voted for the Pakistani pop star.The list was headed by Indian actor Hrithik Roshan, who according to the Eastern Eye Newspaper, was crowned the sexiest man title for the second time in a row.
The list had a massive group of television stars that include Barun Sobti (10)(Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?), Karan Tacker (11) (Ek Hazaaron Main Meri Behna Hai), Gurmeet Choudhary(22)(Punar Vivah), Karan Singh Grover (24)(Qubul Hai), Vivian D’Sena (27) (Madhubala)and AshishKapoor (28).
Roshan was humbled by the result of the poll but stated that he felt a bit embarrassed to imagine himself as the sexiest Asian man within the World.The notable names included within the list had Ali Zafar At Second,Salman Khan at third, Shahid Kapur at fourth, Sidharth Malhotra at fifth, Shahrukh Khan at seventh, John Abraham at eighth and Ranbir Kapur at ninth.
Eastern Eye showbiz editor Asjad Nazir, who puts together the very popular list and is chairman of the judging panel, aid despite having the best physique, those voting for rithik were impressed by a lot of his other qualities. “Although guys and girls from different age groups, ultures and countries pushed Hrithik to the top of the list hey all pin-pointed different qualities that make him the exiest man on the planet. Whilst some were impressed by hisphysique and good looks, others liked that he is humble, and oted family man, father and hardworking individual.
“This not only makes Hrithik the perfect role model, butthe dream man of women around the world and someone men areaspiring to be like. The mass global appeal means it will onlybe a matter of time before he becomes an even biggerinternational star,” said Nazir.
A record-breaking year in terms of voting resulted in thelist trending across Twitter for a week in India, as well asintroducing the highest ever number of newcomers. “Just like the women’s list the massive emergence of thetelevision stars showed that they are catching up fast to thedominant Bollywood heroes and playing a much bigger part inthe lives of people. That probably explains why so many filmstars are using television to promote their movies. Such is their popularity that it is highly likely a TV star could top the list next year,” said Nazir.
The top 20 also included One Direction star Zayn Malik(12), newcomer Varun Dhawan (13), singer Jay Sean (14), actorsAkshay Kumar (15), Emraan Hashmi (16) and Imran Khan (17),followed by Abhishek Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan and Pakistanisinger Atif Aslam.
