Top Actors (Female) of 2012

Top Actors (female) of 2012
They are the ones who bring television screens alive in your bedroom. They are the ones with whom you weep, laugh, rejoice, plot and live what is called life. Yes, they are the female leads of Hindi television industry who signify what is called ‘entertainment’. Tellychakkar.com, in an earlier year ender story talked about the Top Male Actors of 2012 and here we fix our magnifying glass on the fairer sex.
Let’s see who all rocked the small screen space last year…
Ankita Lokhande/Asha Negi- They both are beautiful and share a mother-daughter (Ankita and Asha respectively) relationship in Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta (Balaji Telefilms). Ankita is one of the reasons why the show is so popular today and Asha, who entered the project post leap, has successfully carried the legacy forward. They both can be aptly said to be the souls of the soap.
Avika Gor/Dipika Samson- This Sasural Simar Ka bahus (Colors, produced by Rashmi Telefilms), are absolute rockstars. Together they churn out the much needed drama in the show which viewers all across the globe simply love and adore. Avika and Deepika definitely deserve a place here.
Deepika Singh- She is Sandhya…the actress of one of the most popular shows on Indian television, Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt Ltd). She has a coy demeanor but also has a side which is full of determination and ambition. Her subtle romantic scenes with Sooraj (Anas Rashid) and being ever ready to help her husband and family, is what connects with the junta.
Drashti Dhami- She looks wonderful and stunning in Colors’ Madhubala(Nautanki Telefilms and BAG Films). And we must state that she has one of the most emotive and expressive faces in the television industry. Drashti is committed and playing wife to RK (Vivian Dsena) in the show, she has proved her mettle as an actor.
Disha Vakani- If you are feeling a tad low then just switch on your TV set and tune in to SAB TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (Neela Telefilms) where Disha Vakani will tickle you to glory via her comic histrionics as Dayaben. Her simple yet bold nature and dialogues doled out in a weird cocky tone, has made her an absolute favourite of TV lovers. She is one actress who is blessed with immense talent.
Kritika Kamra- Watching Kritika Kamra on screen is like sniffing air in a dew-clad morning. Yes she is as fresh as it gets. As Dr Nidhi in Sony TV’s Kuch Toh Log Kahenge (Director’s Kut), she is bubbly, chirpy yet brings in a lot of mellowness in her acting. She will pakka go places in the future.
Mitali Nag- She is not a typical glamourous bahu in the conventional sense, but yes, Mitali Nag proved that she is an acting force to reckon with and as fiery as ever playing Krishna in Zee TV’s Afsar Bitiya (Village Boy Productions). She represented the class of women who are ambitions and aspiring. Mitali is a fabulous actress with a great connect.
Mona Singh- She has come a long way since Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin days. Yes, she has become more mature, classy and a superbly apt performer when it comes to doling out the most complex and diverse of emotions. The pang of being married to a man who has fallen for another girl, her love for her children and being confident and self sufficient as a woman, is something which has clicked wonderfully with the viewers.
Niaa Sharma- She cried buckets when her cancer track was on in Star Plus’ Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain (Cinevistaas). But it all worked and TRPs went soaring up. Yes, Niaa playing Maanvi in the show is all about emotions and this young girl knows how to make a place in the hearts of the masses. She even dared to shoot for a sequence wherein her head was shown shaved off, which is quite a thing, given the penchant for actresses to look glamorous on screen. Hats off to Niaa and we wish her all the very best.
Rati Pandey- She is feisty and fiery. And we doubt anyone else could have played the role of Indira aka Hitler Didi in Zee TV’s Hitler Didi (Trilogy Krikos) any better than her. She has churned out wonderful sequences and Indira’s determination to shoulder family responsibilities over her personal joys, is indeed a plot which is poignant and thoughtful.
Rageeni Nandwani- She was a part of Zee TV’s Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein. And as one of the bahus, she captured the imagination of the masses. She moved out of the show to chase her Bollywood dream and will be soon seen in Dehradun Diary-the movie. All we can say Rageeni impressed one and all in Mrs Kaushik.
Pooja Gor- Her show Pratigya has bid adieu but people will remember her performance as Pratigya (Star Plus) for a long period to come for sure. Pooja is wonderful to watch on screen and we are sure fans will love to see her back playing female lead all over again.
Pratyusha Banerjee- Boy she can weep and when she sheds those tears…the nation cries along with her. Pratyusha Banerjee aka Anandi of Colors’ Balia Vadhu(Sphere Origins) deserves a pat on her back for executing some of the most emotive scenes ever written in Indian television with acute precision. Her recentshaadi sequence with Shiv (Siddharth Shukla) was watched and appreciated avidly. She is one helluva powerhouse performer.
Sanaya Irani- Watching Sanaya act on screen is blissful. She is full of energy, cuteness and of course full off copious sundry emotions. Her sensuous and restrained chemistry with co star Barun Sobti (Arnav) became a rage and we are sure people will remember it for years to come in the future.
Sakshi Tanwar- She is class personified. One of the veterans in the TV industry, if it’s splendid performance then it’s Sakshi Tanwar. Playing Priya in Sony TV’s Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (Balaji Telefilms), she added a new layer to the term on screen romance via her splendid chemistry with co star Ram Kapoor. And who can forget the steamy love making scene which went on to set a benchmark in Indian television. Sakshi…you rock.
Shweta Tiwari- Firstly, she is super sexy, hot and curvaceous like an hour glass. Yes, she loves to take a shower under waterfall, but in 2012 she went absolutely homely and became a mother in Sony TV’s Parvarrish (DJ’s A Creative Unit). And watching her on screen we realise how committed and subtle she is as an actress. She exemplifies what is called perfection.
Sriti Jha- Sriti is beautiful and a wonderful performer. Nation watched in horror when she was abused and beaten by Viraj in Life OK’s Saubhagyavati Bhava. She enacted each and every scene beautifully and earned love and blessings of the masses. Yes, she later moved out of the show and is all set to begin her stint in Colors’ Balika Vadhu.
Sonarika Bhadoria/Mouni Roy- They are the goddesses of Life OK’s showMahadev. Mouni played Sati and post leap Sonarika came in as Parvati. And we must add that both these pretty ladies being today’s women acted really well in their mytho avatars. Today they both have a huge fan following.
