Farhan Khan has been in the news ever since he stepped in as the lead guy, Manav, in the Sanaya Irani starrer on Sony Entertainment Television, Chhanchhan (Optimystix Productions). However, later things did not shape up as planned, and Tellychakkar.com was the first to report exclusively on the channel and production house being unhappy with the choice of lead and looking for a replacement.
Post this, some big names like Jay Bhanushali, Karan Kundra, Mohit Sehgal, Harshad Chopda were approached to play the role of Manav Borasagar. Recently, there was a buzz that Anuj Sachdeva might, in fact, bag the prized role.
We now hear that the ‘expected’ has indeed happened and Farhan Khan has been asked to move out of the show (two days back). He was cited the reason that the chemistry between him and Sanaya was not working. Having said that, Farhan had been putting his heart and soul in an attempt to get things right. He had even gone on record to deny media reports stating that ‘he is not getting replaced’.
Our source from the set of the show tells us that ever since reports of Farhan’s probable replacement started to pour in, Farhan had put in immense work, especially in scenes with Sanaya Irani. However, the fact was that Sanaya was never comfortable with him, and made it quite visible on screen. And this ultimately sowed the seed to the ‘replacement’ idea.
The latest from the set of Chhanchhan is that Anuj Sachdeva has started shooting from today (5 June 2013).
We tried calling Anuj Sachdeva, and also dropped a text message to Producer Vipul Shah and Sneha Rajani, Business Head, Sony Entertainment Television, but they did not revert.
Our efforts to get in touch with Sanaya too proved futile.
While our heart goes out to the debutant Farhan for getting a raw deal in Chhanchhan, we wish Anuj Sachdeva all the very best. As they say, the show must go on…
